What book could you read over and over again?
Yeah…I’m sure you’re thinking this is cliche. Yet, as one of the other prompts discusses, I haven’t really liked to read much-until the last few years. Therefore, I’ve not found anything that I’ve wanted to read again and again.
But the Bible has been the one thing I’ve read over and over again, each time revealing something new to me. I may have read a passage over two handfuls of times, but due to where I am in my life at that moment-it stands out as significant, touching, and moving.
There’s nothing quite like it. I’ve also read it in more than one way…Cover to cover, chronologically, and based on topic. I’ve not done so by the order of books written yet.
I do have to say chronologically has been my favorite. There are connections I don’t think I would have ever made, especially regarding the feelings of the people with the situations in their lives. Granted, there was A LOT of flipping of pages going on, but it was absolutely worth it.
So yes, the Bible is a book I would read over and over again…each and every day.
